Let the Balinese Ballroom’s friendly and helpful staff cater to your every need. From service staff to security to a doorman, be assured that your happiness and satisfaction for your special event are always our first priority.  The Balinese Ballroom provides tables, black folding chairs, and white linens on all tables. We also take care of setup and breakdown of tables and chairs, cleanup, and a doorman for your event. Specifics concerning guaranteed counts, deposits, and payment can be found in this section. Parking for all events is free.

The Balinese Ballroom has an extensive list of offerings to make your planning process as easy as possible. Our sample menus are just a few of the many combinations we can prepare for you. Dishes, glassware, and flatware will be supplied when using our catering service only. Outside caterers are not allowed on events booked on Saturdays.  On any other day an outside caterer may be used for a fee of $500. Servers are required for every 30 guests buffet style & every 15 guests for seated dinner at $150 a piece.

WHat is included in the rental fee?

Each space includes tables, black folding chairs, white linens for tables, setup and breakdown of tables and chairs, cleanup, parking, and a doorman. Tables included are (20) 60" rounds, (1) 48" round, (6) 30" rounds, (6) 30" bistros/high tops, (5) 4' rectangular, (5) 6' rectangular, and (5) 8' rectangular. Black linens may be used for an up-charge of $5 per linen.

Are you same-sex couple friendly?

Yes! We welcome all couples, regardless of sexual orientation. Love is love!

Do you provide catering and alcohol too?

What is the parking situation like?

We offer two parking lots complimentary to your guests. Together these can accommodate up to 110 cars at no additional charge.

Where are you located?

We are located in downtown Memphis in the historic Pinch District. Just a short walk from the Cook Convention Center and Bass Pro Shops at The Pyramid. 330 N. Main St. Memphis, TN 38103


Candles may be used as long as the candles are on or in a candle holder or something that catches the wax. Taper candles must be slow burning, non-drip, and covered with a globe. 

Can I use an outside caterer? 

You may use an outside caterer in the High Point Ballroom any day of the week for a $500 fee. Outside catering is not allowed in the first or second floor of the Balinese on Saturday rentals but may be used Sunday-Friday for the $500 fee. 

How long is the rental?

Event time is 4 hours but we allow you to access the space on the day of your event for a total of 8 hours before the ceremony to decorate, take photos, etc. One hour is allotted after your event to remove your belongings. 

Does Balinese Ballroom provide decor or floral arrangements? 

We do not provide decor or floral arrangements. We leave you with the option to truly customize your event. 

Will there be a food tasting?

Yes! We recommend scheduling a tasting two months prior to your event. You may schedule a tasting on a Tuesday or Thursday evening at 6 or 7 PM and up to six people may attend the tasting. You will need to book your tasting at least one week in advance. 

If I only rent one floor of the Balinese, will there be another event on the other floor? 

Possibly! Since each floor rents separately, there could be multiple events in one night. However, there are separate entrances to all spaces and concrete between the levels that omits a noise problem. 

Do you require a deposit to book the space? How much?

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the space. The deposit is based on the total amount of your event (room rental, catering, all other fees).

Is the space handicap accessible? 

The High Point Ballroom and first floor of the Balinese are handicap accessible. Unfortunately the only way to access the second floor of the Balinese is stairs. 

Do you provide a day-of coordinator?

Balinese Ballroom does not provide a coordinator but Taylor will assist you during your entire planning process and answer questions you have along the way. A day-of coordinator is not required but recommended to ensure you have a fun and stress-free day. We are happy to give recommendations. 

do you allow a sparkler or confetti exit?

Unfortunately we no longer allow sparklers. Confetti may be used outside as long as it is biodegradable. No confetti, bubbles, or fog machines may be used inside the building.
